Gay dating is nuanced, with much of the signal living in behavior rather than what's explicitly stated. Trophies surface those patterns — who you attract, how you engage — helping users quickly understand compatibility and mutual interest. This reduces guesswork and makes it easier to connect with the right people, faster.
Archer recently introduced an intention-based discovery experience to help users find connections with shared goals. We're also working on improving the tag system to help users better express what they're interested in. With these changes, users can see more context about others in the discovery flow.
However, it's sometimes still unclear whether that's truly what a user is into or looking for at the moment. Actual user behavior can also tell a different story — what someone does may not always match what they say they'll do.
So even though we've added more context to profiles, there's still a lot of guesswork for users to navigate.
In parallel, Archer is still looking for a stand-out feature that can spread organically. The product currently lacks a marketing ecosystem driven by social sharing among users.
